Design for Carbon Core Pellet toward Co-production with Sinter

Current global demand for the carbon emission reduction and depletion progress of high-grade iron ore deposits require integrated solution toward sinter ironmaking process. Several countermeasures have been proposed regarding development highly reducible burden materials blast furnace use beneficiated fine ores in sintering machine. However, their application to actual equipment limited because productivity is deteriorated. Here present study investigated co-production composite pellet with existing machines. Even if fired an oxidizing atmosphere, carbon-core-pellets can be produced under conditions that simulate conventional This a protective shell over core inhibits from combustion. Importantly, structure composition pellets are properly designed so this does not melt overly or break during firing. The design parameters govern strength reducibility after firing, those influence analyzed quantitatively. Overall, pot test trial which blended exhibited viability pellet-sinter co-production.
